CWAA Text Message Updates — SMS Terms and Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern the CWAA Text Message Updates program provided by C W Aviation Association, commonly known as the Camas Washougal Aviation Association ("CWAA," "we," "us," or "our"). By enrolling in the program, you agree to these SMS Terms.

1. Program Description

CWAA may send recurring informational and marketing text messages about:

  • Membership meetings and association matters

  • Events and schedule or location changes

  • Volunteer opportunities

  • Membership reminders

  • Scholarships and aviation programs

  • Other CWAA news and activities

Messages may be sent using an automated telephone dialing system or other automated technology. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of membership, participation, donation, or purchase.

2. How to Enroll

You may enroll through a CWAA online SMS signup form or another method that clearly asks for your consent to receive recurring text messages from CWAA. By enrolling, you confirm that:

  • You are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided, or you are authorized to consent on the user's behalf.

  • The mobile number you provide is accurate.

  • You agree to receive recurring CWAA text messages at that number.

Your consent applies only to CWAA. It is separate from consent to receive email and from membership enrollment or payment.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on CWAA activities, generally two to four messages per month. Additional messages may be sent when reasonably necessary for event reminders, schedule changes, cancellations, or other time-sensitive association information.

4. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile service plan. CWAA does not charge a separate fee for participating in the program. Contact your wireless carrier if you have questions about your plan.

5. How to Opt Out

You may withdraw your consent and stop receiving CWAA text messages at any time by replying STOP to a CWAA message. You may also use another reasonable method that clearly communicates that you no longer wish to receive the messages, including contacting CWAA at cwaagrove1w1@gmail.com.

After an opt-out request, CWAA may send one final, non-promotional text confirming that you have been unsubscribed. We will then stop sending messages covered by your request unless you later enroll again and provide new consent.

7. Delivery and Availability

Text-message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed. Messages may be delayed or not delivered because of network conditions, device settings, carrier restrictions, or other circumstances outside CWAA's control. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

The program may not be available through every carrier or device. CWAA may suspend, modify, or discontinue the program at any time.

8. Changes to Your Mobile Number

If you stop using or transfer the mobile number enrolled in the program, please reply STOP before the change or notify CWAA promptly at cwaagrove1w1@gmail.com. This helps prevent messages from being sent to a person who later receives that number.

9. Privacy

CWAA's collection and use of personal information through this program are governed by our Privacy Policy at:

CWAA will not sell, rent, or share your mobile telephone number, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. CWAA may provide limited information to service providers that help operate the messaging program, but only as necessary to provide services on CWAA's behalf.

10. Changes to These SMS Terms

CWAA may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Changes will apply prospectively after they are posted. If a material change requires new consent under applicable law, CWAA will request that consent before sending messages affected by the change.
